In November, the Hearing Healthcare Centre team went to the Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals (AIHHP) Autumn Conference and Exhibition. The event was a great opportunity for us to increase our awareness of the latest research and new technologies associated with hearing. The team were particularly interested by the guest speaker, Julian Treasure. In his presentation, ‘The Four Ways Sound Affects Us’, he explored how different noises affect our physiology and mental well-being – in good ways and bad – and the surprising effect they can have on a business. A condensed version of Julian’s ideas can be found online when he presented at one of the TEDTalks events – watch it here on the TED website.

AIHHP is the professional association dedicated to promoting excellence within the UK Hearing Care profession. As an AIHHP founding member, the Hearing Healthcare Centre agrees to abide by the Association’s high professional standards. Visit the AIHHP website at www.aihhp.org
