The Yelling Women’s Institute

Our audiologists, Chris and Daniel, were privileged guests of The Yelling Women’s Institute on Tuesday 16th February. We were invited to share our knowledge and expertise on all things ‘ears’ and ‘hearing’.

Chris and Daniel presented an informative and interactive exhibition to inform and demonstrate the importance of good hearing health. The presentation touched on issues including protecting ears from loud noise, safe ear wax removal, comprehensive hearing checks as well as advice on tinnitus and balance.

The ladies of The Yelling WI were a very receptive audience, and were very enthusiastic when it came to the interactive parts of our talk. They took the opportunity to ask our audiologists a range of questions, and showed great interest in the subject. At Hearing Healthcare Centre, we strive to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining good aural health, and also informed group members of the importance of adapted communication techniques when talking to the hard of hearing.

We are very proud of the service we provide, and always enjoy participating in local events. If you, or anybody you know, would like to arrange an educational presentation, call us today on 01223 360700 and we would be happy to arrange a meeting.

“On behalf of our group of ladies, I would like to reiterate our thanks to you both for coming to speak to us yesterday evening. It did enhance our understanding of how our brains and ears work together to make us hear sound,  and helped us focus on looking after our hearing and making the most of what hearing we have. You were both very approachable and answered all our questions fully. I think a few of our members will be keen to explore what your services have to offer in practice, so I hope it was a worthwhile outing for you too.” Linda Newbold, Yelling WI
