The staff at Hearing Healthcare Centre were invited to attend the Mayor’s ball in Saffron Walden on Saturday 9th of April . We enjoyed a fun filled evening with dinner, dancing and fundraising. The Ball was hosted by Councillor Heather Asker, and was in aid of raising funds for the treatment of Muscular Dystrophy at Addenbrooke’s hospital.

The evening was well attended with more than fifty local business owners in attendance. The evening consisted of a fine meal, charity raffles, auctions and rousing musical entertainment.

Andy Coughlan, Director at Hearing Healthcare Centre, outbid those in attendance for a book of photos, that show the picturesque locations of Saffron Walden. This will be put on display in our Saffron Walden branch for all to enjoy.

The evening was a great success with much-appreciated funds being raised for a truly great cause. Muscular Dystrophy is a group of diseases that cause progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass.  It is an inherited condition, which gradually causes the muscles to waste and weaken. It affects more than 70,000 people in the UK, and is usually caused by faults in the genes which are responsible for the structure and function of muscles.

We were all happy to participate in fundraising for this worthy cause.
